The video "Sita sings the blues" was a fresh retake on the story of Ramayana. One of the most interesting finds I made was that Ravana was actually not the evil villain that I thought he was. Apparently he was a learned scholar and liked to play an instrument. He was also a devout follower of Shiva is what the video said I believe. The story from before said that he was oppressing the Gods, but the video made it seem like that wasn't the case. The conflict between Ravana and Rama mainly started from Ravana's' sister telling Ravana about Sita and how beautiful she is and that he should take her in as a wife. I guess there are various versions of the story.
