Reading Notes Mahabharata [Reading Notes Part D]

The whole epic started coming together after reading this. I was kind of lost in the last reading, because I got lost figuring out what this was all supposed to be about. I compared Mahabharata to Ramayana and thought that Ramayana was much better. However, I realized after reading the final parts of Mahabharata that this story was more of a tragedy than a heroic that Mahabharata was. Also, I think it has a more realistic and better ending than Mahabharata. In the end, this story was a fight for the throne within the royal family of an Indian dynasty. Family killed each other divided by each of their loyalties. Many of the fallen mostly did not want to see this war continue to play out, but few key players like Duryodhana didn't want to stop the war and kept going. Almost everyone fell in the end.
