Reading Notes: Mahabharata Part B

This was a very shocking and fresh set of stories. Unlike ramayana, there was a story about Bhima marrying Hidimbi, a female rakshasa demon. Once again, I really like that not all "evil" existences are actually evil. The most shocking story was the Pandava brothers all marrying one woman. A king having multiple wives is already shocking enough but a strange promise from Kunti and the brothers forcing them to marry the same wife seems even more shocking. I guess Draupadi was okay with it though, because apparently Shiva promised her five husbands in her previous life for her piety. I think I might do a story on this polygamy just because it's so weird.
